Experienced Telecom Low-Voltage Installation Technician

Seattle, Washington

About this position:

Atlas Networks is in need of a 06 Low-Voltage Technician to serve our large network of Seattle, Burien, and Redmond based residential & commercial customers. Duties include installation of low voltage wiring and network equipment in buildings, installing microwave radio equipment on rooftops, and completing installs at the customer premise. This position is the front line representation of Atlas Networks to the customer and therefore needs to be able to work cohesively with customers, property managers, and internal team members. The right candidate will be that person who “goes the extra mile” to not only satisfy the job to be done, but stands out of the crowd as a leader in internet/tv/and telephone service providers. The right candidate will be comfortable taking on a leadership role and assuming responsibility for the success of the entire team working closely with the Installation Manager, Job Estimator, and Program Manager to achieve the overall goals of the company.

Starting Date:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Cabling rough-in and termination
  • Cabling testing and documentation
  • Build-out of MDF and IDF (racks, patch panels, wire managers, network electronics, etc.)
  • Installation and on-site configuration/setup of equipment including microwave radios, network routers and switches, camera security systems, etc.
  • Additional duties that may be assigned by management as part of the day to day operations of the company

Job Requirements:

  • Professional, first and foremost
  • Current 06 License & prefer 2 years of experience in the field
  • Basic knowledge of home computer networking
    • SOHO routers/firewalls
    • Wireless routers
    • Ability to use a laptop
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient with hand and basic power tools is an absolute must
  • Must be comfortable working from heights, including ladders and roof tops
  • Able to lift and carry upwards of 50lbs, climb ladders, and work at various heights while successfully performing job duties
  • A strong motivation to learn and succeed
  • You must be detail oriented, and provide a top notch work product
  • You must be able to follow directions explicitly
  • Ability to record and document details precisely
  • You must be willing to support an on-call rotation (generally very light)
  • You must currently live, or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of Seattle, WA to support on-call rotations.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Existing Job Skills:

  • Experience terminating cat 5, cat 6 Ethernet cabling
  • Experience in tracing, toning, and repair of cat 5, and cat 6 cabling
  • Experience supporting telephony.
  • Fiber optic experience is a plus

Helpdesk Technician

Atlas Networks is expanding our team to include a specialized helpdesk technician position. Helpdesk technicians are responsible for supporting and engaging Atlas Networks customers with technology troubleshooting issues. This position in particular will work primarily at a customer location nearby our offices, and also partially at our offices. Areas of responsibility and expertise include MacOS and iOS devices, wireless networks, printers, cable management, and general office IT. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the IT offices and materials, including organizing parts, maintaining inventory levels and ordering replacements, documenting asset assignment, and retiring aging assets.

You’ll be proactively identifying new sales opportunities, defining customer needs, preparing proposals, and winning deals.
