Installation Manager - Electrical Administrator

We are seeking a new core team member to fill our Installation Manager/Electrical Administrator position. This position will be responsible for our electrical license and our 6 person installation team. Work includes conducting site surveys for the deployment of telecommunications equipment in buildings we are expanding our network into, create written work plans that our installation teams will use for daily installs/projects, maintaining safety plans, comfortable working with building engineers and property owners for installation of our equipment, and coordinating daily work with our Project Manager. Success of the Installation Manager will reflect directly on the success of the Technical and Production Teams and the success of the company as a whole. Generally work hours are M-F 6:30-3:30 but this position requires oversight of after-hours emergency responses to infrastructure outages. You do not need prior telecom experience but do need to possess the critical job skills below. We're a small energetic and fast moving company and need someone to match that energy while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Critical Job Skills

  • Minimum of 06 or 01 along with the WA Electrical Administrators License - Master Electrician
  • Familiarity with construction sites, low voltage wiring and cabling passageways, fiber optics (or able to learn)
  • Mechanical skills and ability to visualize/draw/define mechanical assemblies (unistrut, conduit, concrete anchors, etc) for cabling, conduit and rooftop work
  • PC skills with a basic networking understanding (how a basic computer network is physically assembled)

Telecom/Low Voltage Project Estimator

The need for a Telecom Project Estimator will support the Technical and Production Teams. Work includes conducting site surveys for the deployment of telecommunications equipment in buildings we are expanding our network in to, create written work plans using Visio that our installation team will use, authoring proposals for installs that go to the building’s owner for approval, and learning how to do network capacity planning. Success of the Telecom Project Estimator will reflect directly on the success of the Technical and Production Teams and the success of the company as a whole. Generally work hours are M-F 8-5 but occasional overtime is required. You do not need prior telecom experience but do need to possess the critical job skills below.

Ideal Candidates

This is a unique position that requires a fundamental understanding of basic nuts and bolts mechanical skills coupled with how physical computer networks are put together. Best fit candidates might be:

  • Construction management background with a solid PC/networking understanding
  • General construction estimating with a solid PC/networking understanding
  • PC/Networking experience but highly mechanical (can fix about anything with a Leatherman)
  • An electrician or low-voltage technician with a solid PC/networking understanding

Helpdesk Technician

Atlas Networks is expanding our team to include a specialized helpdesk technician position. Helpdesk technicians are responsible for supporting and engaging Atlas Networks customers with technology troubleshooting issues. This position in particular will work primarily at a customer location nearby our offices, and also partially at our offices. Areas of responsibility and expertise include MacOS and iOS devices, wireless networks, printers, cable management, and general office IT. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the IT offices and materials, including organizing parts, maintaining inventory levels and ordering replacements, documenting asset assignment, and retiring aging assets.
